The Gardner School is looking for caring, nurturing, and energetic full-time Early Childhood Teachers to join their premier preschool in Weymouth, MA. The ideal candidate must be willing to work with children between the ages of 6-weeks to 5-years-old; as well as be comfortable with diapering and toilet training when needed.
Schedule:
- Full-time employees can choose from one of the following schedules; 8:00am-5:00pm OR 9:00am-6:00pm, Monday-Friday
Salary
- Lead Teachers;$21.25 – $26.25/hour pending education, credentials, and professional Early Childhood Education experience
- Assistant Teachers; $19.10 – $23.60/hour pending education, credentials, and professional Early Childhood Education experience
- Support Teachers; $17.20 – 21.25/hour pending education, credentials, and professional Early Childhood Education experience

Job Responsibilities:
- Ability to understand and support the education program using their child-focused curriculum
- Ability to keep children within sight and sound supervision at all time
- Ability to change children’s diapers and/or assist with toileting (where necessary)
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with school personnel, children, and parents
- Ability to multitask in a lively environment and work well within a team
- Ability to handle crisis situations, including assisting in evacuating the building during emergencies
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18-years-old
- REQUIRED Education: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, OR Associate's degree in early childhood education or related field, PLUS at least 9 months of experience, OR High school diploma/GED, PLUS specific EEC-approved courses, PLUS 36 months of experience
- REQUIRED Experience: At least one year of experience in a licensed Early Childhood Education facility
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations – for Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
- Must meet background check eligibility
