Our client is looking for caring, nurturing, and energetic full-time Early Childhood Teachers to join their premier preschool in Harrison, NJ. The ideal candidate must be willing to work with children 6-weeks to 5-years-old; as well as be comfortable with diapering and toilet training.
- This is a Direct Hire position with the school
- Full-Time; Monday-Friday; year-round employment
Potential Positions
- Assistant Teacher: working with children 6-weeks to 4 years old and the shift can be 7:00am to 4:00pm, 8:00am to 5:00pm, 9:00am to 6:00pm, 9:30am to 6:30pm, or 10:00am to 7:00pm (open to discussing part-time shifts but MUST be Monday through Friday and between 7:00am to 7:00pm)
- Lead Teacher: working with children 6-weeks to 4-years-old and the shift can be 7:00am to 4:00pm, 8:00am to 5:00pm, 9:00am to 6:00pm, 9:30am to 6:30pm, or 10:00am to 7:00pm, Monday through Friday
Salary
- Lead Teachers: $18.00-$20.00/hour pending education, credentials, and professional Early Childhood Education experience
- Assistant Teachers: $16.00-$18.00/hour pending education, credentials, and professional Early Childhood Education experience
- Floater Teachers: $16.00-$17.00/hour pending education, credentials, and professional Early Childhood Education experience

Responsibilities
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Responsible for the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities and curriculum as well as the maintenance of educational portfolios
- Supervise and engage children in educational and play activities
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom
- Monitor and ensure the well-being of each child in your care
- Communicate with parents about their child's progress and any concerns
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment
- Participate in training sessions, workshops, and staff meetings to enhance your skills and stay updated on best practices in early childhood education
Qualifications
- REQUIRED Lead Teacher Education: High School Diploma or GED WITH 15 related college credits (Education, Psychology, Sociology, Human
- REQUIRED Lead Teacher Experience: 1 year in a licensed Early Childhood Education facility
- REQUIRED Assistant and Floater Teacher Education: High School Diploma or a GED
- REQUIRED Assistant and Floater Teacher Experience: 6 months experience with children 5 and under (babysitting/nannying OK!)
- Must be at least 18-years-old
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations – for Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
