Our client is seeking a warm, dependable Early Childhood Support Staff member to join their premier preschool in Middleton, MA for morning support role. Responsibilities include preparing snacks, maintaining sanitation standards, managing kitchen cleanup, and helping set up the center for the day. This position also involves greeting children and families and supporting a smooth start to each morning. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and comfortable working independently in a kitchen setting while contributing to a nurturing early childhood environment.

  • These are Direct Hire positions with the school
  • Part-time; Monday-Friday; year-round employment

Open Positions

  • Early Childhood Support Staff: This position requires an early morning start time of 7:00am or 7:30am. End time is flexible; however, a minimum of four hours per day is required.
  • Opportunities to provide additional classroom support for longer shifts are available!

Salary

  • $17.00-$21.00/hour pending education, credentials, and experience

Responsibilities

  • Prepare classrooms and shared spaces for the day, including sanitizing surfaces, organizing materials, and setting up activities.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in accordance with licensing and health guidelines.
  • Manage opening tasks such as snack preparation, kitchen setup, and light food service support.
  • Greet children and parents warmly during arrival, helping create a positive start to each child’s day.
  • Support daily childcare routines and assist teachers as needed throughout the morning.
  • Assist with snack time and kitchen cleanup, ensuring proper food handling and sanitation procedures are followed.

Qualifications

  • REQUIRED Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations
  • Must meet background check eligibility
  • Must be at least 18-years-old
  • Experience working with children in a childcare, preschool, or similar setting is preferred but not required.
  • Warm, friendly personality with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to manage independent responsibilities.
  • Ability to follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • CPR/First Aid certification and StrongStart 2.0 (or willingness to obtain) is required.
