Assistant Preschool Director

Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant Director to join the leadership team at their premier childcare center in the Lower Merion area. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills (verbal and written), a genuine love for children, and a strong commitment to education.

  • This is a Direct Hire position with the school
  • Monday-Friday; year-round employment

Salary

  • $55,000 – $65,000/year pending education, certifications, and professional Early Childhood Education experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all operations of the school, specifically focusing on educational programming, special events and activities, managing budget/finances, relationship building, quality assurance related to health & safety, and faculty onboarding, training & development
  • Use a growth mindset to train, coach, and develop the school for the future
  • Develop strong relationships with our families
  • Comply with state childcare licensing regulations
  • Project a positive and upbeat attitude while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to serve in various roles as needed
  • Ability to maintain accurate and up to date records

Qualifications

  • REQUIRED Education: Associate's degree in Education or related field
  • REQUIRED Leadership Experience: At least 1 year of experience as an Assistant Director in an Early Childhood Education facility.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations
  • Must meet background check eligibility
