Our client is looking for experienced, nurturing, and energetic Early Childhood Education Teachers to join their premier preschool in Valhalla, NY.
- These are Direct Hire positions with the school
- Full-Time and Part-Time; Monday – Friday: year-round employment
Open Positions
- Lead Teacher openings working with the age group of your choice between 6 weeks to 5 years old!
- Assistant Teacher Openings between 6 weeks to 4 years old!
Salary
- Lead Teachers: $20.00 – $23.00/hour pending education, credentials, and professional Early Childhood Education experience
- Assistant Teachers: $18.00 – $21.00/hour pending education, credentials, and professional Early Childhood Education experience
- Floaters/Flex Staff: $18.00 – $20.00/hour pending education, credentials, and professional Early Childhood Education experience

Job Responsibilities
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Plan, create and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum
- Maintain educational portfolios for each child
- Supervise and engage children in educational and play activities
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom
- Monitor and ensure the well-being of each child in your care
- Communicate with parents about their child's progress and any concerns
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment
- Participate in training sessions, workshops, and staff meetings to enhance your skills and stay updated on best practices in early childhood education
Qualifications
Lead Teachers Requirements – must meet one of the following:
- Option 1: AA or BA in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field. If working with Infants/Toddlers, one year of experience working specifically with Infants/Toddlers required
- Option 2: CDA and at least 1-year of experience related to caring for children. If working with Infants/Toddlers, at least two years of experience caring for children required, one of which must be specifically with Infants/Toddlers
- Option 3 (Infants/Toddlers): At least two years of experience caring for children required, one of which must be specifically with Infants/Toddlers AND at least 9 completed college credits in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field, with a plan of study leading to a: Infant and Toddler Child Care and Education Credential; or Infant Toddler Child Development Associate Credential; or Other Office-recognized credential specific to the infant/toddler developmental period; or Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field
Assistant Teacher Requirements
- Required Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Required Experience: working with children 5-years and younger in any capacity
Requirement for all positions
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations – for Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
- Must meet background check eligibility
