Lead Early Childhood Teacher (Toddler and Preschool)
Westford, MA

• Salary: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour
• Direct Hire positions with the school
• Full-Time schedule available

Are you passionate about working with young children and helping them learn, grow, and explore the world? The Goddard School in Westford, MA is seeking an enthusiastic, caring, and dependable Early Childhood Teacher to join their team.

Available Roles

• Lead Toddler Teacher: working with children between 15 months – 2.5 years old
• Lead Preschool Teacher: working with children between 2.5 years old – 3.5 years old

Schedule

• Monday – Friday
• 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Leads must be able to work until 6:00pm one out of every four weeks

Compensation

• $22.00 – $25.00 per hour for Lead Teachers; Compensation depends on education, credentials, and experience in early childhood education.

What You'll Be Doing

Teachers play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment for young children.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting a child-centered curriculum that encourages creativity and exploration
• Maintaining active supervision of children at all times
• Building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• Assisting with diapering and toileting as needed
• Collaborating with other teachers to support classroom activities
• Helping ensure a safe and positive school environment

What We're Looking For

You must meet one of the following for Lead Teacher position:

• Massachusetts EEC Certification
• Child Development Associate (CDA) Certification
• Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, Educational Psychology, or related field
• Completed college course in Child Development from birth to 7- or 8-years-old

Additional Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when assisting children
• Must safely lift infants into and out of cribs
• Must pass required background checks
