Director, Early Childhood Education Center
Salary: $55,000–$60,000 per year

We’re seeking a motivated Center Director to lead our early childhood education center. We welcome experienced directors, assistant directors, and strong lead teachers ready to take the next step in their careers.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who is passionate about classroom excellence and building a positive, supportive culture. This leader will spend significant time in classrooms coaching teachers, supporting classroom management, modeling best practices, and building strong relationships with children, families, and staff. We are looking for someone who leads by example, fosters teamwork and professional growth, and is committed to creating an environment where both children and educators thrive. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with a passion for early childhood education, are essential. What You’ll Do
As Director, you will:

  • Oversee all school operations, including educational programming, enrollment, staffing, licensing compliance, and quality assurance.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop teachers and administrative staff to support professional growth and school success
  • Provide classroom support, including observations, mentoring, breaks, and staff development
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective families
  • Support enrollment growth through tours, community outreach, and exceptional customer service
  • Ensure compliance with Ohio state childcare licensing regulations and accreditation standards
  • Maintain a positive, team-oriented culture while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date records
  • Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to serve in various roles as needed

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in a Child Care Center
  • Minimum of 64 college credits, including 21 credits in Early Childhood Education
  • Demonstrated success leading teams, improving operations, and driving enrollment growth
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent customer service mindset with a passion for creating exceptional family experiences
  • Experience using childcare management software and technology to support operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field, MA in Early Childhood Education is highly preferred
